Carbon Credits issued for the voluntary restoration of carbon credit generating ecosystems

Voluntary Restorative Carbon Credits ™ are issued for projects that establish or enhance forests where otherwise deforestation and forest degradation will have negative impacts upon communities, forests, wildlife habitats, and rare and endangered species. Projects are generally community-led.

The majority of the carbon revenue goes to the community and country of origin. Master planning is encouraged and a compulsory Community Development Plan is required to direct the use of carbon revenues into co-benefit community projects. Local communities are assisted and trained to conduct field carbon assessments, mapping, carbon yield projections, marketing and carbon brokerage.

Job creation is targeted at women and youth, with jobs in several sectors including planning, ecosystem analysis, forest management, utility development, engineering, transport, health, finance, and international business administration.

Credit supply contracts offered are generally medium term 10-30 years, with annual monitoring of forests and five-yearly reassessments of carbon credit yield.
