This Registry is a world first: providing a global, independent, authenticated source of genuine credits for the Voluntary Carbon Market 2.0 (High Integrity). This is a totally clean platform. No previously discredited schemes or credits are permitted on the Registry. High integrity only.

Credit sourcing, authentication, rating, monitoring, and retirement records are all provided in one place on this clean Registry. It is the one-stop quality shop for genuine Verified Emission Reductions (VER) in the 21st Century.

Credits are sourced from premium projects world-wide. Six types of VER are accepted on the Registry according to the Join Criteria. Each VER project admitted must pass an Eligibility Check, must comply with the Join Criteria, and must provide Authentication of Credits using an approved protocol. Verification, validation, monitoring reports and community development plans (where applicable), must be prepared by independent scientific authorities of good standing and made available to the public on the Registry. 

A compulsory and free Credit Quality Rating (CQR) is applied to each credit tranche. There are two types of CQR: Nature-Based and Non-Nature Based. Ratings range from AAA to Junk. A Certificate of Authentication is issued for each credit tranche.

Once admitted to the Registry, credits may be purchased on-line in the Registry Shop, by direct sale, or by auction. Buyers must report to the Registrar when a credit is retired and for which emissions reduction activity it was claimed. Retirement records are publicly available on the Registry.

Spot audits of projects may occur with a minimum of 24 hours' notice to the project developer. If non-compliances are found, the developer is given a reasonable time to take corrective action. Details of performance requirements for developers are included in their contract of supply. Credit trading occurs under the provisions of the standard credit trading contract, with a compulsory audit trial for all transactions completed in the Registry.
